Roadborne will launch on PC via Steam. Console versions are being considered depending on community demand and funding.

Roadborne is a single-player experience. While we initially explored multiplayer during development, we've refocused on creating a deep, immersive solo adventure that allows you to fully control your journey through the wasteland.

No permadeath. When you die, you respawn at your home base with some resource and money penalties, and your vehicle may sustain damage. Your base progress and core infrastructure remain intact.

Bases are built on predefined plots that you can unlock and upgrade throughout the game. Within these plots, you have full customization freedom using a snap grid system to place craftable stations, storage, and defensive structures.

Yes. Some towns enforce local laws and regulations. Carrying illegal or counterfeit items may result in inspections, fines, or confiscation. Raiders will hunt you based on your heat level, making discretion an important survival tool.

Roadborne is a sandbox-driven experience. Your goal is to survive, scavenge, complete deliveries, expand your base, and build the ultimate vehicle fleet. The path you take and the priorities you set are entirely up to you.

Modding support is a long-term goal post-launch. We're building the game's systems to be modular, making future modding tools viable if there's sufficient community demand.

As a sandbox game, playtime varies greatly depending on your approach. The core progression can take 20-30 hours, but building the perfect base, collecting all vehicles, and mastering the courier network can extend gameplay significantly beyond that.
